Does your Not for Profit have what it takes to realise its innovation potential?

Not For Profits are being urged to take part in the 2017 Not For Profit Innovation Index Survey to gain insight into ways they can optimise innovation in their organisations. 

Developed by GiveEasy and supported by Australia Post, Westpac, and AGSM@UNSW Business School, the survey can be accessed via until 18th November and aims to measure organisations current innovation capability.

Since launching the Innovation Index two years ago to review the Not For Profit sector and measure its capability to manage technological disruption, digital fundraising solutions provider GiveEasy CEO Jeremy Tobias said some interesting trends emerged.

Based on the data collected from more than 1,217 responses, Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, One Health Organisation and Movember Australia were ranked the most innovative organisations in the 2016 Innovation Index

The 2017 Innovation Index will offer a unique opportunity to verify the findings and spot emerging trends across the sector by building on these baseline results, he said.

The eight capabilities measured by the report are:

  • internal collaboration,
  • external collaboration,
  • explicit focus on innovation,
  • openness of culture and vision,
  • organisational velocity,
  • rewards and recognition for innovation,
  • stakeholder centricity, and
  • Usage of technology

Data is collected on all day to day activities, including the use of social media or mobile technology. Survey participants will receive a personalised report revealing the overall findings of the 2017 Innovation Index as well as their individual results.

Mr Tobias said “Now more than ever Not for Profits need to build their innovation capability, and the 2017 Innovation Index, through its personalised reports back to each respondent, provides a clear roadmap as to how to achieve this” Mr Tobias said. “Last year’s data clearly shows that innovation growth leads to increased funding.”
